Omakase Wa sits on Travessa do Fala-Só, just off Avenida da Liberdade, behind a glass façade with no street signage. Inside, a single ten-seat counter faces the chefs directly, leaving room for only one service style: a fifteen-course Edomae omakase.
Executive chef Ashik Yonjan leads the counter with sous chef Danilo Moreira and chef de partie Mateus Martins. The menu draws on both local Portuguese fish and cuts imported from Japan, prepared piece by piece in front of diners using traditional Edomae technique. A house sake sommelier offers a pairing alongside the courses for those who want it.
At €105 per seat, the restaurant is listed by Michelin and classified as moderate in difficulty, reflecting the pace and attentiveness the format asks of guests. Seating runs in two nightly sittings, at 19:00 and 21:30, Tuesday through Saturday; the restaurant is closed Sunday and Monday.
Reservations are handled directly through the restaurant, by phone or via its website, given the limited ten-seat capacity and single-counter format. There is no à la carte alternative — the omakase is the only offering.
