Sushi Takahiro sits a few minutes from Nishi-Shinjuku Station, in a room built for 14 guests split between a six-seat counter, a four-seat table and a four-seat private room. Chef Shunta Ikuta leads the kitchen after thirteen years buying fish at Toyosu, most recently working at Sushi Rozan inside the Shinjuku Isetan department store.

The dinner omakase runs ten courses over roughly 150 minutes and is priced at ¥22,000 per person, a change from the previous ¥16,500 as of February 2026. A shorter lunch omakase is also offered, running about 80 minutes. Rice is a custom blend chosen by season, and wasabi is delivered fresh from Amagi in Izu. A sake diploma holder oversees the pairing list, matching temperature and vessel to each piece of nigiri.

Reservations go through TableCheck, and the restaurant lists an English menu along with English-speaking staff, making the counter approachable for visitors unfamiliar with sushi etiquette. Seating difficulty is described as moderate rather than lottery-only. The restaurant is closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays; on other open days it runs both lunch and dinner service, except Thursdays, when only dinner is served.
