Sushi Sohei is a counter-only Edomae sushi restaurant in Sapporo's Chuo Ward, run by chef Matsukura Sohei (松倉 草平). The restaurant serves a single omakase course priced at 33,000 yen per person, a rate that took effect from July 2025.
Service runs in two seatings on both weekdays and weekends. Weekday seatings begin at 18:00 and 20:30; on weekends and holidays the first seating starts at 17:00 and the second at 19:30. The restaurant is closed on Wednesdays. All diners in a seating begin together, so arriving late may mean missing part of the course.
Reservations can be made by phone or through the Omakase.in booking site, with a minimum lead time of three days. Cancellation fees apply on a sliding scale: 100% of the course price within three days of the reservation, 50% within five days, and 20% within ten days. Groups of eight or more booking a private seating are charged an additional 10% service fee.
The dining room is entirely non-smoking, and guests are asked to avoid wearing strong perfume or cologne; this request extends to any companions. Photography and video recording inside the restaurant are not permitted. Credit cards are accepted. Parking is not provided on-site, but a paid coin parking lot next door is available.
