Sushi Shinagawa sits in Yakuin, a quiet residential pocket of Chuo Ward, a short walk from Tenjin's busier streets. The restaurant is built around a single L-shaped counter with eight seats, all facing the chef as he works. It holds a star in the Michelin Guide Fukuoka Saga Nagasaki 2019 Special Edition.

The evening course runs ¥19,800 per person (tax included) and includes an amuse-bouche, sashimi, one or two small dishes, a seasonal simmered dish, twelve pieces of nigiri, a soup course and dessert. The kitchen adjusts the lineup according to that day's fish market, so the exact composition varies by visit. A lighter, more affordably priced lunch course is offered for ¥6,600.

Reservations are required and can be made by phone or through the restaurant's web form; guests residing overseas are asked to book instead through the Tabelog English-language page. Phone staff do not speak English. The restaurant enforces a cancellation policy: a change or cancellation the day before the reservation incurs a 50% charge on the course price, and same-day cancellations or no-shows are charged in full; changes to party size on the day are treated the same way. Credit cards are accepted (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, JCB, Diners) but electronic payment methods are not. Private dining is available for groups of five to eight, subject to inquiry.

The restaurant is closed Sundays and public holidays, and operates lunch service from 12:00 to 14:00 and dinner from 18:00 to 22:00, with last order at 20:30. It is a two-minute walk from Yakuin-Odori Station on the Fukuoka City Subway Nanakuma Line, and about five minutes from Yakuin Station, served by both the Nishitetsu Tenjin Omuta Line and the Nanakuma Line. Coin parking is available nearby.
